A True Pioneer in NDT
For over 60 years, Glenn Davis has helped shape the non-destructive testing (NDT) industry. His legacy is marked by dedication, vision, and an unwavering commitment to mentorship. Glenn’s journey in the NDT industry began in 1962, and by 1967, he was already making strides in Dallas as an entrepreneur. In 1976, he moved to Longview, Texas, where he founded Longview X-Ray and Testing. Though he sold Longview X-Ray and Testing in 1981, he repurchased the business in 1984 and again spurred growth of the company, renaming it Longview Inspection. Glenn sold Longview Inspection in 1990 to Rockwood, where the company was the platform for what became Acuren, a billion-dollar leader in critical testing services.
Glenn continued his impact in 1996 by founding Hi-Tech Testing, solidifying his role as an NDT innovator. His knowledge and steady leadership have influenced countless professionals, including our President, Alan Dorsey. Beyond his business achievements, Glenn has served as a mentor, friend, and trusted guide within the NDT community. At a recent event, we had the privilege of presenting him with an award for excellence, honoring his lifelong dedication.
